Evaluation of the efficiency and quality of the tram route of Setif city, Algeria: Combining AHP and GIS approaches

The study aims to evaluate the efficiency of tram track in urban transport system Algerian city Setif by combining Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. In this research, a set multiple pre-determined criteria applicable field were selected for decision-making. They collected from recent research literature expert opinions discipline, then arranged evaluated AHP extract main weights each criterion. end, they processed spatially using GIS. showed that selection tramway was not successful terms chosen location, its studied according quality transport. addition, concluded there is significant shortfall first track, especially one linking route northern southern parts city, which affected route. As results have shown, percentage good spaces near does exceed 0.34%. It followed average acceptable areas (13.48%) marginalized far (86.18% total area city). also demonstrated importance GIS evaluating completed comprehensive widely scientific methodology.
